Jon C Flint
As new technological products and services become more and more complex. Jon's interests as a designer lie in dissecting this complexity, and distilling it into simple and unique physical form. Grounded in the domestic space, often the first port of call for new technologies to impact our lives. These manifest as: IoT appliances, mirrors, salesman suitcases, workshops, and even rooms from the future.
Jon holds a BA in Product Design from Central Saint Martins. And an MA in Interaction Design from Goldsmiths, University of London. From 2015 to 2018 he was a designer prototyper at the acclaimed futures design practice Superflux. Over the years he has shown work at the V&A, Vitra Design Museum, CCCB, 21_21 Design Sight, and more. And led talks and workshops from Shanghai, China to Warsaw, Poland. He was one of the delegates of the ‘Living research 2018’ programme by The British Council, exploring maker culture in China.
Jon is a resident of the Pervasive Media Studio at the Watershed in Bristol, UK. And a member of the Cached Collective, formed at the Hive social innovation residency at 'thecamp' in Provence, France.
